FAQ

WHAT DOES VIRTUAL VISITORS DO?

Virtual Visitors is a volunteer program that connects volunteers who are looking to make a difference in peoples' lives with individuals who are feeling socially isolated, or as though they are lacking social support. The patrons and visitors will meet virtually, over Zoom, Skype, or phone to maintain the physical distancing protocols in place for COVID-19, while also maintaining a sense of social support and connection.

HOW OFTEN CAN I HAVE PEOPLE VISIT WITH ME?

We will do our very best to ensure that your needs are met with regards to number of visits per week. However, you may request up to 5 virtual visits per week!

Conversations, and visits, are organic in nature. There is no set time for a virtual visit- some people may be comfortable with a 20 minute conversation, while others will want a longer conversation. Generally, we will request that you schedule in one hour for your virtual visit; though this is something that can be discussed between patron and visitor once they have been connected.
